November 30th, 2014

We thank the Lord God who has seen us through yet another month!! Praise be to his name. It’s that time for our newsletter summarizing the main events of November 2014.

We would like to gladly announce to you that we currently own both web domains that is; www.ugamaa.com and www.ugamaa.org. We had some account administrative issues but these have been sorted out. Now changing administrators will be much easier each time we get new leadership without having to invent the wheels afresh. Both domains are pointed to the current website and should work well. Please visit it and let us know if you have some ideas you would like to see implemented.

On the 22nd of November 2014 the Ugandan Adventist church worshiped with his Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, president of the republic of Uganda. The major occasion was to start a fundraising drive for the Adventist Union Complex, a 25Billion Uganda shilling Project. The president praised the honesty of the few Adventist officers he has worked with in his government. He donated cash 50 million Uganda Shillings on that day and a vehicle to the Union President’s office. He also pledged 100million Uganda shillings towards the Adventist Union complex construction.

The outgoing president, Dr. John Kakembo urged him to lean on Jesus in his leadership role. Currently, the union has gathered 2 billion Uganda shillings towards this project. The image above is the Artistic Impression of the complex.

God has made us smile this week with the successful heart surgery of our sister Harriet Sempiira of Massachusetts!! Sis. Harriet had surgery on 31st Friday November and safely woke up on Sabbath morning. On her awakening those with her played SDA Luganda hymn “ Yesu Beera nange”  to which she responded while nodding her head! Her memory is intact. She was able to get out of bed yesterday and walked around with a positive attitude and good mood. She recently had some vomiting episodes but all is well and she continues to recover. Continue praying for her full recovery.
May the God Lord keep you safe and sound as we await him.
Blessings
