To Promote and advance the spiritual, social, emotional wellbeing, and spirit of unity for the Ugandan-American Adventists and friends in North America and Uganda.

UGAMAA is a 501(C) (3) non –profit organization dedicated to promote and advance the spiritual, social, emotional wellbeing, and spirit of unity for the Ugandan-American Adventists and friends in North America and Uganda.

AIMS AND GOALS

Establishing closer links among Ugandan–American                      Adventists, for their welfare through networking and other           activities.

Establishing closer links among Ugandan–American                       Adventists, for their welfare through networking and other           activities.

Promoting evangelism and spiritual wellbeing among                    Ugandans and their friends, through annual convocations.

Creating opportunities for our young people and their                   friends to embrace the faith and values and culture of their           heritage.

Supporting educational and scientific programs and activities         approved by UGAMAA - executive.

Establishing closer links between UGAMAA members and the          Adventist church in Uganda through denominational                      channels.

Promoting and facilitating church oriented charitable                      projects in Uganda along  UGAMAA’s mission and purpose.

UGAMAA MEMBERSHIP

GENERAL STATEMENT

Seventh-Day Adventists of Ugandan heritage residing in North America.

Seventh-Day Adventists of Ugandan heritage in the Diaspora with connection to North America.

Seventh-Day Adventists residing in North America with or had connections with Uganda or Uganda Adventist church

FULL MEMBER

 Is registered by paying annual membership dues set by the           Executive Committee for the calendar year.

These dues are payable by January 30th for that calendar               year.

Uphold the mission and purpose of the association

ASSOCIATE MEMBER

A non-Adventist spouse of an active UGAMAA member.

A friend of UGAMAA member.

Registered by paying annual associate membership dues, set         by the Executive  Committee, for the calendar year.

These dues are payable by January 30th for that calendar               year.

YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULT MEMBERS

He or she is in school and / or under 21 years of age.

Registered by paying annual youth and young adults 
      membership dues, set by the Executive Committee, for the             calendar year.

These dues are payable by January 30th for that calendar               year.

UGAMAA COMMITTEES

Executive Committee:

Consist of the elected officers of the association as provided

Financial Committee:

Responsible for the financial affairs of the association

Pastoral Care Committee:

Coordinate and assure that all the spiritual needs of UGAMAA and its members

Communication Committee:

Responsible for the general communication for the association, including but not limited to e-mail, web pages and any mass mailings to UGAMAA members and the general public.

Youth and Young Adult Affairs Committee:

Coordinate all activities related to the youth and young adults

Camp-meeting Committee:

Responsible for organizing the annual camp meeting.

Projects Development Committee:

Responsible for planning and organizing all UGAMAA projects.

Electoral Committee:

Responsible for organizing the general elections of UGAMAA officers during election time.

Nominating Committee:

Responsible for the nomination of potential members to be considered for new UGAMAA officers.

Constitution Review Committee:

Review and recommend amendments to the constitution.
